Natural Beauty Secrets You Can Find in Your Refrigerator

Department stores have entire sections devoted to expensive beauty products promising healthy, glowing skin, and I am not saying they don’t work – I’ve even been known to buy a few – I just want you to know there are alternatives to a $60 eye cream.
Even if price isn’t an issue for you, going the natural route has other benefits. Did you know that 60% of what we put on our skin is actually absorbed into our blood stream? So it is very important to use only 100% natural ingredients on your skin.
When choosing skin care products, opt for those that use only natural ingredients and that contain absolutely no parabens, sodium laurel sulfate (SLS) or harmful petrochemicals. You can also just step into your kitchen to find a complete skin care regimen that uses ingredients in their raw form.
To Cleanse Skin – Main Ingredient: Grape Juice

Honey is one of the best natural ingredients to brighten dull, listless skin. First, open your pores by placing a warm, wet face cloth over your entire face (and neck if you want) for about 2-3 minutes. Then, smear on the honey. To Exfoliate Skin – Main Ingredient: Miracle Whip
I have no idea why this works… but it does work! Apply a thin layer of the Miracle Whip over your entire face (and neck if you want). If you can stand the smell, leave the mixture on for 10-15 minutes and then massage lightly moving in small circles. Rinse your face with warm water and cleanse thoroughly with your regular cleanser. Dark circles under your eyes don’t only make you look tired, they can also age you. While there are beauty creams available that claim to help, they are expensive and whether they work or not is definitely a gamble. To try this natural method, grate one half of a medium sized potato, then divide it into two even piles and place into small pieces of cheese cloth. Apply the small sachets to your entire eye area for 10-15 minutes daily. Gently wipe the area with a damp cloth to remove any residue and then apply a small amount of moisturizing eye cream for best results.
To Balance Oily Skin – Main Ingredient: Yogurt & Yeast
To create your natural cure for oily skin, you need to look in both your refrigerator and your kitchen cabinet. Just mix together 1 teaspoon of brewer’s yeast with approximately ¼ cup of plain yogurt (do not use flavored yogurt). Then mix the juice with the egg white from one egg. Apply liberally to your skin, concentrating on the reddish areas. To remove, wash your face gently with warm water. This natural skin treatment can be left on skin for 10-15 minutes as a quick treatment or it may be left overnight for more dramatic results.
